About Vocarra
We built this because the trades deserve better tools.
Vocarra exists to give trade operators a front office that works the way their field teams do: fast, reliable, and built for how the job actually gets done.
A problem we saw firsthand.
Spend a week inside any trade business doing $5M or more in revenue and you'll see the same thing: phones ringing off the hook, office managers drowning in call logs, and north of 30% of inbound calls going unanswered during peak and after-hours windows. Every missed call is a real job (a $450 drain clean, a $12,000 HVAC replacement, a commercial service contract) walking to the next company on the list.
The tools these businesses rely on weren't built for them. Most answering services take a message and hope someone calls back. Most CRMs are spreadsheets with a login page. Receptionists burn out, voicemails pile up, and the operator at the top ends up fielding dispatch calls from their truck on a Sunday afternoon. We watched it happen at businesses doing tens of millions in revenue, the kind of operation that absolutely should not be losing jobs to a full voicemail box.
We started Vocarra because the technology to fix this finally exists, and nobody was bothering to build it for the trades. Generic AI assistants can't quote a water heater or triage an emergency leak. Enterprise phone systems cost more than the problem. The gap was obvious, so we built the thing we wished these businesses already had.
Not a template. Not a generic AI bolt-on.
Three things we do differently that change the outcome for trade operators.
Custom to every client.
There is no one-size-fits-all script. We configure the AI around your pricing, services, dispatch rules, service area, and the way your office actually runs. Two plumbing companies across the street from each other get two different setups, because they run different businesses.
Built for the trades.
We're not a horizontal AI assistant that added a 'plumbing' template. Every feature (price book handling, emergency triage, tech dispatch, CRM sync) is designed for how trade businesses actually take and run calls. The language, the workflows, the integrations all come from operators, not product managers.
A platform, not a phone bot.
Answering calls is where we start, not where we stop. We're building toward a full operational layer (intake, scheduling, follow-up, reporting, and everything in between) so that one day a trade operator can run the whole office from a single system that actually understands their business.
From the phone to the whole operation.
The phone is the first visible problem in a trade business, so it's where we started. But the real opportunity is the entire operational layer: the space between a call coming in and a technician getting paid. Intake, scheduling, dispatch, follow-up, invoicing, reporting: today those live across five different tools that barely talk to each other.
Our roadmap is to collapse that into a single AI-powered platform designed end-to-end for the trades. Voice agents today. Full operations tomorrow. Still opinionated, still custom to every client, still built for the people running these businesses, not for the people trying to sell software into them.
